In 2020, building on a groupwide project to support turnkey transfer and distributed manufacturing, Univercells launched Unizima as a dedicated business to set up and operate local bioproduction facilities in LMICs and emerging markets.
The goal was clear - to unite the bioprocessing, technological, strategic, business, and logistical expertise of the Univercells Group on the ground and support countries in achieving their biomanufacturing autonomy objectives.
